Volkswagen Oil Approval VW 502.00:
The VW 502.00 approval applies to multigrade engine oils designed for gasoline engines.
Volkswagen Oil Approval VW 503.00:
The VW 503.00 approval is no longer in use and has been replaced by VW 504.00.
Volkswagen Oil Approval VW 504.00:
The VW 504.00 approval applies to gasoline engine oils suitable for extended oil change intervals.
Volkswagen Oil Approval VW 505.00:
A multigrade oil designed for diesel engines, excluding those with unit injectors (pump-nozzle systems) or diesel particulate filters (DPF).
